After a successful summer in Europe, MOKE International is gearing up to celebrate '60 years of MOKE', starting at the forthcoming Paris Motor Show.
Suncar SAS, MOKE International's French partner, will be exhibiting two customized electric MOKEs on the stand, with custom colors including paint, interiors, exclusive finishes and accessories available to customers in France.
As the first brand inherited from the 60s to go fully electric, MOKE International combines iconic style with modern innovation, offering a vehicle that reflects both tradition and contemporary design.
To celebrate this anniversary and partnership, MOKE International's sales partners have confirmed that they will dedicate 60 of their production slots for the electric MOKE to customers at the event, to meet the growing demand in Europe.
PARIS, OCTOBER 10, 2024:
MOKE International will return to the Paris Motor Show this year, reintroducing its heritage and spirit of adventure to a market that has embraced the brand for over 60 years. The British-built electric MOKE will be on display in booth A92, pavilion 5/3, offering customization options thanks to MOKE's official French partner, Suncar SAS (Suncar). To meet growing demand in Europe and mark the start of MOKE's 60th anniversary celebrations, the British brand has confirmed that it will release 60 production slots to be specifically allocated to show customers.
This marks a key moment in the growth of MOKE International. Since 1964, MOKEs have been a symbol of freedom, fun and unique design, appearing in James Bond films, hit TV series and adored by music legends. The electric MOKE continues this heritage, offering the ideal vehicle for beach getaways or urban exploration. With a waiting list of between three and nine months (depending on destination), the electric MOKE is growing in popularity as it enters new markets and once again reinforces its iconic status, this time with a new electric powertrain.
Robin Kennedy, Sales Director of MOKE International, said: "France has always played an important role in the history of MOKE. From the bustling streets of Paris to the sunny Riviera, where Brigitte Bardot immortalized our cars, the spirit of MOKE has always resonated here. Today, in partnership with Suncar, we can offer even more ways for customers to personalize their electric MOKEs and create something unique. It's an exciting time as we prepare the next chapter of MOKE.
"There's a lot to look forward to in the next 12 months. We're building on everything people love about the brand, creating something truly special for those who appreciate individuality and timeless style. We're launching our '60 Years of MOKE' celebration at the Paris Motor Show, highlighting the brand's heritage and enduring success. Over the next 12 months, we'll be taking this celebration to all our major markets."
As demand for bespoke luxury electric vehicles grows, MOKE International is expanding its focus on customization via local partners such as Suncar. Customers can currently choose from six colors or 'personalize their MOKE' with options including bespoke accessories and colors. This service enables customers to make their electric MOKE a true reflection of their personality. This partnership underlines MOKE International's commitment to offering joyful outdoor driving while remaining true to its values of fun, freedom and innovation.
In 2022, MOKE International - owner of the original 1964 European MOKE brand - became the first historic automotive brand to go fully electric, combining its playful design with sustainable driving. Manufactured in the UK with the majority of parts sourced in Europe, the brand continues to honor its heritage while embracing modern automotive technology and protecting over 100 trademarks worldwide. MOKE International's global expansion continues, with the electric MOKE now available in six countries, including the USA. In 2023, the first customer cars arrived in Florida, following regulatory approval from the NHTSA and EPA. An exclusive partnership with the Four Seasons in South Florida has further strengthened the brand's international presence.

ABOUT MOKE INTERNATIONAL:
Designed in the early 1960s by Sir Alec Issigonis, father of the Austin Mini, the Mini MOKE was originally conceived as a military utility vehicle, to be parachuted behind enemy lines. Ironically, it soon achieved cult status in the fashionable seaside resorts of the French Riviera and the Caribbean, with Brigitte Bardot, the Beatles and James Bond among its early devotees.
MOKE International is the owner of the original 1964 European MOKE brand and over 100 other related brands, registered worldwide. In 2023, it launched the electric MOKE and became the first heritage automotive brand to be fully electric. Incorporating cutting-edge driving technologies, including its own quiet powertrain, while honoring the timeless design that made it a global sensation, MOKE remains true to its heritage. The latest MOKEs are meticulously designed and handcrafted in Northamptonshire, England, just a few miles from where the original MOKEs were built in the 1960s.
MOKE appeals to a global audience who take the time to enjoy life's journey. It continues to be appreciated for its unique style and the feelings of freedom it evokes. Once again, MOKE becomes the must-have luxury beach accessory - from Saint-Barth to Saint-Tropez, and in all the sunniest destinations around the world.
The MOKE's battery comes with a 3-year warranty, providing enough range for at least two round trips between Cap-Ferrat and Monaco, Santa Monica and Malibu Beach, Bal Harbour and Miami Beach or Goodwood and West Wittering Beach.
