Hen Party in Nice : the dream combination for every bride-to-be. A successful hen party is a perfect blend of sunshine, beautiful photos, an activity everyone will still be talking about at the wedding, and no logistical hassles. Good news: Nice ticks all the boxes. With the Mediterranean as a backdrop, stylish venues within walking distance in heels, and light that makes every photo magazine-worthy. Here’s the itinerary we recommend for groups of friends looking for two intense, elegant days that go off without a hitch.
Day 1 · Morning
An alarm clock that sets the tone
You don’t kick off a weekend with the girls by gulping down a lukewarm coffee whilst standing up. Off to the Garden Café @gardencafenice, often cited as the most photogenic brunch spot in Nice: a glass-roofed terrace, greenery, rattan furniture and dishes that are as pretty as they are generous. Set menus cost around €20 to €25 per person; the value for money is excellent and the morning light is perfect for the group’s first photos. Book in advance: it’s a popular spot, especially at weekends.

Day 1 · Late morning
Shopping in the Golden Square
A ten-minute walk away is the triangle formed by the’Avenue de Verdun, the Paradis Street and the Alphonse Karr Street is home to Nice’s finest shop windows: designers, French fashion houses and jewellers. It’s the perfect time to find an evening outfit or a little gift for the bride-to-be. If your group prefers shops with character, head to the Old Nice : designers’ workshops, local perfumers and the market at the Saleya Square @explorenicecotedazur so you can leave with your arms full of flowers. One doesn’t rule out the other; everything’s within walking distance.

Day 1 · Afternoon
Sun loungers overlooking the Baie des Anges
Heading for Castel Plage @castelplage, the private beach nestled at the foot of Rauba Capeu, just below the Château Hill. It’s the chic yet laid-back spot on the Promenade: sun loungers and parasols (expect to pay around thirty euros), Mediterranean cuisine, and unobstructed views across the entire Baie des Anges. You can spend the afternoon there swimming, napping and sipping spritzes, whilst the band’s playlist plays softly in the background. Booking is recommended during peak season; the beach is open from April to the end of September.

Day 1 · Evening
Dinner on the rooftops – quite literally
For dinner on your first evening, head up to the sixth floor of the Maison Albar – Le Victoria : its rooftop Taulissa @maisonalbarhotels («on the rooftops» in Provençal) is the place everyone in Nice is talking about. A 360-degree view stretching from the sea to the mountains, southern French cuisine by Glenn Viel, dishes to share served at your table, a lounge atmosphere with a DJ: the perfect setting for a big hen night. A little nod that gives a clear indication of the restaurant’s style: you might just spot their Electric moke, the same one that awaits you the following morning.

The Night Diary
Mama Shelter Nice @mamashelternice : Indoor DJ sets, events all year round (follow the programme on their Instagram).
Gypsy Mum @mamatzigane : «A haven of happiness for intrepid, elegantly disorganised souls», Thursday to Saturday from 7 pm to 2.30 am. Quite a programme.
To the Sound of Guitars @ausondesguitaresnice : the go-to spot in Nice for dancing the night away.
Paola Speakeasy @paolaspeakeasy : the hidden bar that comes alive at the weekend, from 10 pm to 2 am.

And don’t forget to book a table at Taulissa – its terrace is one of the most sought-after in the city.
Day 2 · Morning
The guided Moke tour – the highlight of the day
This is the memory your group will take home with them. Setting off from the port of Nice, you’ll set sail in a small convoy of Electric convertible Mokes, these icons of the 1960s, reimagined as 100 % electric cars. A guide leads the way at the front, whilst you enjoy the views: the bay of Villefranche, Mont Boron, the bends of the Basse Corniche, with the wind in your hair and photo stops at the most beautiful vantage points. Nobody has to drive if nobody feels like it: No licence required, no deposit required, the guides take care of everything.

Key points: 1-hour guided walk, from €100 per person (Sunset option available; half-day Grand Tour of Cap d’Antibes for enthusiastic groups). From 2 people, up to 6 per convoy: the ideal format for a hen party. In French, English or Italian. Moke my day!
And if your group includes one or two keen female drivers, the daily hire (from €250, category B driving licence) allows you to extend the experience in complete freedom, from Saint-Tropez to Monaco.
Day 2 · Midday and afternoon
A seafood lunch, relaxation and golden hour
Wind down gently with lunch at Bonaparte's Fish @peixes_restaurant_nice, between Place Garibaldi and the harbour: a large terrace, ceviches and tatakis in an atmosphere as refreshing as the dishes themselves. Purists will prefer a terrace at the Saleya Square, just a stone’s throw away. Then treat the group to the pampering break that makes for the best hen parties: a hotel spa, a group massage or simply an hour’s stroll in the shade of the ochre-coloured façades. At the end of the day, head up to the Castle Hill : this is THE spot for views of the Baie des Anges, and at golden hour, you simply can’t go wrong with a group photo here.

Day 2 · Evening
A night-cap: sunset on the Promenade
To round off the weekend, the rooftop Farago @faragoontheroof, on the rooftop of the AC Hotel on the Promenade des Anglais, is just the ticket: a sunset over the Mediterranean, a final toast to the bride-to-be, and the promise to return. You’ll leave with hundreds of photos and one certainty: a girls’ trip to Nice isn’t something you can describe – it’s something you have to experience for yourself.
